PowerChute Business Edition for Linux v9.1.1 はサポートを終了させていただきました。


Smart-UPS SUAシリーズとシリアルケーブル通信の組み合わせで、
PowerChute Business Edition for Linux v9.1.1のパッケージをサーバに導入する際のインストール方法を説明します。

Smart-UPS SUAシリーズとの組み合わせでPowerChute Business Edition for Linux v9.1.1では、
キャラクターによるCGIでのインストールになります。

・ PowerChute Business Edition v9.1.1 パッケージでは、
UPSがSmart-UPS SUAシリーズが接続されていることを認識するとSUAシリーズ用のv9.0.3がインストールされます。

以下のような手順にてPowerChute Business Editionのファイルの展開を行い、設定、使用を開始ください。

【手順】 1. UPSに同梱されていたケーブルで、UPSとサーバ間を事前に接続 2. インストーラ install_pbeagent_linux.sh を実行

1. ケーブルの接続
ソフトウェアパッケージに同梱されていたケーブルを UPS と PowerChute Business Editionをインストールするサーバのシリアルポートに接続してください。






以下のインストール例は/tmp/pcbe911で作成したディレクトリにてファイルを展開、インストールを行う場合です。


2. インストールの実行
展開したファイルのディレクトリに移動し、下記青字のコマンドを実行しインストールを開始してください。

# cd tmp/pcbe911/ # ls Linuxreadme.txt Linuxreadme.txt.ja_UTF8 rpms Linuxreadme.txt.ja install_pbeagent_linux.sh #./install_pbeagent_linux.sh == PowerChute Business Edition Agent Installation == For instructions on upgrading PowerChute, please refer to the readme file in the Linux install folder. Different monitoring ports are available on the back of the UPS depending on the UPS model. Please select the appropriate option below to proceed with the installation process. What type of UPS monitoring port is on the back of your UPS ?

3. UPSの通信ポートの形状選択
UPSの通信ポートのコネクタ形状を選択します。
Smart-UPS (SUAシリーズ) の場合は、1番の "BD9" を選択します。

What type of UPS monitoring port is on the back of your UPS ? 1) DB9 2) RJ45 3) Cancel Agent installation. Please select option 1, 2 (Press 3 to cancel): 1

4. エージェントのアクセスユーザ名、パスワードの設定
インストール後のPowerChute Business Editionへアクセスするためには、ユーザ名とパスワードが要求されます。
そのためのユーザ名、パスワードを設定してください。
尚、ユーザ名、パスワードはユーザ様にて任意に設定するものとなります。設定したものを控え、管理してください。

*ユーザ名、パスワードを忘れた場合には、再インストールが必要となります。

American Power Conversion PowerChute Business Edition Agent Configuration Utility ------------------------------------------------------------ New Username > 任意 New Password > 任意 Confirm New Password > 任意 (確認のための再入力)

5. UPSと通信するシグナルタイプの設定
次にシグナリングタイプの設定をおこないます。

UPSに対して、コンピュータ1台の構成の場合
Smart Signal : UPS本体のシリアルポートとサーバの接続（ケーブル: 940-0024x(黒)/USBケーブル）の場合　"1"

UPSに対して、コンピュータ2台の構成でExpanderのポートに接続している場合
Simple Signal : UPS Interface Expander 2 (AP9624), 2-Port Interface Expander Card (AP9607)
もしくは Share UPS 8-Port Interface Expander (AP9207)との接続（ケーブル: 940-0020x[色 グレー or 白]) の場合 "2"

Select the Signal Type [1]: Smart [2]: Simple > 1 (Simple Signalの場合は "2")

6.ポートの設定
通信ケーブルが接続されているサーバのシリアルケーブルを接続しているCOMポートを選択します。
OSで認識しているUPSを接続しているCOMポートを指定し、表示されている番号を入力してください
例： COM1=/dev/ttyS0、COM2=/dev/ttyS1

Select the serial port [1]: /dev/ttyS0 [2]: /dev/ttyS1 [3]: Other > 任意

7. 設定内容の確認
設定された内容が表示されます。
設定内容を確認のうえ "Yes" を入力ください。
設定の変更をおこなう場合には、"No" を入力してください。

Signal Type: Smart Share UPS: No Serial Port: /dev/ttyS0 Are the UPS settings correct? (Yes or No) > Yes

8. PowerChute Business Edition エージェントの開始
PowerChute Business Editionエージェントを開始させます。"Yes" と入力ください。

Start PowerChute Business Edition Agent? (Yes or No) > Yes PowerChute Business Edition started.

以上でインストール完了です。
