PowerChute Business Edition for Linux v9.1.1 USB通信時のインストール方法 (Smart-UPS LCD SMT, SMXシリーズ)

Smart-UPS LCD (SMT/SMXシリーズ)の構成下でPowerChute Business Edition v9.1.1 for Linuxを
USB通信でサーバに導入する際のインストール方法を説明します。

Smart-UPS LCD (SMT/SMXシリーズ)をご使用の構成で、PowerChute Business Edition v9.1.1 for Linuxをサーバに導入する際は、
キャラクターによるCGIでのインストールとなっております。
USB通信が可能なOSはこちらから確認をしてください。

* Smart-UPS(SUAシリーズ)の場合、Linux OSとのUSB通信はできません。

以下のような手順にてPowerChute Business Editionのファイルの展開を行い、設定、使用を開始ください。

【手順】
1. USBケーブルで、UPSとサーバ間を事前に接続
2. インストーラ install_pbeagent_linux.sh を実行

1. ケーブルの接続
USBケーブルをUPSとPowerChute Business Editionをインストールするサーバを接続してください。
USB A端子をパソコン、USB B端子をUPSに接続します。

2. インストールの実行
展開したファイルのディレクトリに移動し、下記太字のコマンドを実行しインストールを開始してください。

# cd tmp/pcbe911/
# ls
Linuxreadme.txt Linuxreadme.txt.ja_UTF8 rpms
Linuxreadme.txt.ja install_pbeagent_linux.sh

#./install_pbeagent_linux.sh

== PowerChute Business Edition Agent Installation ==

For instructions on upgrading PowerChute, please refer to the readme
file in the Linux install folder.

Different monitoring ports are available on the back of the UPS depending on
the UPS model.
Please select the appropriate option below to proceed with the installation
process.

What type of UPS monitoring port is on the back of your UPS ?

3. UPSの通信ポート選択（RJ45の選択)
UPSの通信ポートを選択します、SMT/SMXシリーズの場合は "RJ45"を選択します。

1) DB9
2) RJ45
3) Cancel Agent installation.

Please select option 1, 2 (Press 3 to cancel):2

4. 拡張機材の利用有無
拡張機材での利用ではないため"No"を選択します。

Are you connected to a Share UPS, Interface Expander or in Simple Signalling mode ?
1) Yes
2) No
3) Cancel Agent installation.

5. エージェントのアクセスユーザ名、パスワードの設定

インストール後のPowerChute Business Editionへアクセスするためには、ユーザ名とパスワードが要求されます。
そのためのユーザ名、パスワードを設定してください。
尚、ユーザ名、パスワードはユーザ様にて任意に設定するものとなります。設定したものを控え、管理してください。

*ユーザ名、パスワードを忘れた場合には、再インストールが必要となります。

6. Cable Typeの設定
シリアルケーブルとUSBケーブルとの選択します。 USBを選択してください。

Cable Type:
[1]: Serial
[2]: USB

7. 設定内容の確認
設定された内容が表示されます。
設定内容を確認のうえ "Yes" を入力ください。設定の変更をおこなう場合には、"No" を入力してください。

8. PowerChute Business Edition エージェントの開始
PowerChute Business Editionエージェントを開始させます。"Yes" と入力ください。
