Data Center Expert | E-mails from StruxureWare show in Celsius regardless of preferences.
Issue
E-mails from DCE show in Celsius regardless of preferences.
Product Line
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)
InfraStruXure Central (ISXC)
Environment
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (all versions)
StruxureWare Central (all versions)
InfraStruXure Central (all versions)
Cause
Data Center Expert receives an alarm from an NMC or NetBotz 250 or 750 via SNMP. The alarms come across from the device using a Celsius Object Identifier.
Resolution:
Engineering is looking into potentially changing this default behavior.
If a manual threshold is created, this threshold is based upon settings in the Data Center Expert server itself. You can create a temperature threshold for the same sensor on Data Center Expert and it should e-mail you based upon your preference settings. If it is important to get the alert in Fahrenheit, creating such a threshold would be the workaround.
