How to make sure the IT equipment's mounting rails will install into a NetShelter cabinet after moving the mounting rails in for cable management.
Issue:
IT equipment comes with mounting rails. All mounting rails have minimum and maximum mounting depths.
Product Line:
NetSheltetr SX
Environment:
All versions and serial ranges.
Cause:
Adding cable management and PDU/accessory mounting rails to a cabinet require the mounting rails to be moved inward.
Since the equipment's mounting rails have a min/max depth specification, at some point it's possible to move the rails inward enough that the equipment will require a short-depth monting rail.
Understanding this ahead of time allows the customer to either move to a deeper cabinet, or order the correct rails. This will help avoid delays.
This issue is most likely to occur with standard depth cabinets, but can also occur in deeper cabinets.
