Product Line

    • AP84XX - Metering By Outlet Rack PDU

Environment
  • All serial numbers
  • All firmware versions
  • PDU standalone configurations (not using Network Port Sharing)

Cause

For proper operation of your standalone Metering By Outlet Rack PDU (AP86XX or AP84XX), you must install the terminator included with your Rack PDU either the IN or OUT port. If this terminator is not connected, you will receive the following error or similar: No metering outlets detected; Lost Communication with device; Lost Communication with Phase Meter.

Resolution

Note: For units manufactured December 2012 and later, the lower profile terminator will now come pre-installed in either the IN and OUT port. Installation should be verified if you see the aforementioned communication errors though.

For older units or if the pre-installed terminator was removed, install the terminator included with your Rack PDU documentation and literature, part number 0W05545A which is a low profile terminator or the older, larger 0W04161A. Please see below.

If you have lost or misplaced your terminator, please contact technical support in your region for replacement options.
