Cause:
The NetBotz Version 2 Appliances (320, 420, 500) support a variety of alert actions. Version 3 4xx and 5xx NetBotz also support these alerts based on configuration / connections. Some of these alert actions are only applicable if the required hardware and/or software is available. The following table defines the available alert actions and required hardware.

Sends an SMS text message via GSM service provider

Sends an SNMP version 1 trap to configured targets

Send HTTP POST
Sends standard (all) alert information formatted in XML to a web server in the form of an HTTP POST
Properly configured web server and application code
Send Custom HTTP Get
Sends customized alert information to a web server in the form of an HTTP GET

Send Data to FTP Server
Sends standard alert data formatted in XML to an FTP server.

Send Custom Text File to FTP Server
Sends custom alert text file to an FTP server

Set Switch Output State
Sets the state of an device switch
Supported output device such as Output Relay Pod, Power Control Pod or third party intelligent power strip
Activate Button State
Activates a push button defined on an output device
Supported output device such as Output Relay Pod, Power Control Pod or third party intelligent power strip
Play Audio Alert
Plays or speaks the text of the alert
NetBotz 500, Camera Pod 120 and attached external, power speakers
Call Web Services Alert Receiver
Sends customer alert information via the Web Services API to a remote system
Properly configured web server running custom application code integrated with the NetBotz Web Services API
