Issue:
How do I find the Java version the StruxureWare Data Center Expert desktop client is using?

Product line:

- Virtual Appliance (AP94VMACT)

Environment:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (all versions)

Resolution:

The Java version that the DCE Desktop Client uses can be found within the related Program Files folder:

1) Open Windows Explorer and navigate to your main disk driver (usually C:).

2) Open the installation directory, which will be in one of two places (default):
- Version 7.7.0 and prior: C:\Program Files (x86)\StruxureWare Data Center Expert X.X.X
- Version 7.7.1 and later: C:\Program Files\StruxureWare Data Center Expert X.X.X

3) Navigate into the dcexpert folder and then into the jre folder.

4) Open the release file in a text editor such as notepad.

5) The Java version is displayed on the first line of the document.

NOTE: The Java version can not be updated manually.  If a Java update is necessary, it will be included in future DCE versions of the software.
