Lost Password Recovery Procedure for an InfraStruXure Manager

Please follow these steps in order to reset the password on ISX Manager (Information Controller) version 1.3.4 and earlier:

1) Connect a laptop to the InfraStruXure Manager Hub and make sure it is assigned an IP.
2) Using a paper clip or similar item hit the reset button on the ISX Mgr.
3) Verify that after the reboot you still have a valid IP on the laptop and log onto the IC through the web interface using the following URL:

http://192.168.1.1/ResetUserNameAndPasswordToDefault

Please note that this step MUST be completed within five minutes of the reboot of the ISX Mgr. and it is case sensitive.

At this point the user/password should be reset to apc/apc


On ISX Manager version 4.x:

1) Connect a laptop to the InfraStruXure Manager Hub and make sure it is assigned an IP.
2) Using a paper clip or similar item hit the reset button on the ISX Mgr.
3) Verify that after the reboot you still have a valid IP on the laptop and log onto the ISX Mgr using admin/apc within five minutes of the reboot.
