Resolution

This document describes the procedure to cold start a single phase Symmetra system.

To start a Symmetra Power Array or Symmetra RM without adequate utility AC:

1. Ensure all Battery Modules are installed and set to ON position.

2. Set System Enable switch to ON position (pointing upwards).

3. Using PowerView display, navigate to the CONTROL menu and scroll to and select lowest option: "Turn UPS Load On"

4. Confirm your choice and override any start-up warnings. UPS should now be operating On-Battery.

To start Symmetra LX without adequate utility AC:

1. Ensure all Battery Modules are installed and set to ON position.

2. Set System Enable switch to ON position (pointing upwards).

3. Remove front plastic bezel from Symmetra LX to expose all modules.

4. Press and hold the black button on the LOWER Intelligence Module until LEDs illuminate on the UPPER Intelligence Module. PowerView display and all accessories (ie. NMC) should now be powered and functional.

5. Using PowerView display, navigate to the CONTROL menu and scroll to and select lowest option: "Turn UPS Load On"

6. Confirm your choice and override any start-up warnings. UPS should now be operating On-Battery.

Please Note: If you wish for the Symmetra to automatically switch to On-Line operation and recharge the battery system when utility power quality improves, be sure to have both the branch input breaker and the UPS Input Circuit Breaker closed.
