Digitally Signed Pictures with Netbotz Version 2 Appliances

Product Line:
NetBotz.

Environment:
NetBotz version 2

Cause:
NetBotz Version 2 Appliances with Premium Software Modules (PSMs) have the ability to digitally sign all pictures captured by the appliance. The digitally singed pictures provide the ability to prove that the pictures / video clip has not been tampered or altered.

Resolution:
The digitally signed picture functionality provided by the Premium Software Module provide the ability to choose to send images captured by the appliance cameras as JPEGs, M-JPEG AVI Files, or Signed M-JPEG AVI files.

M-JPEG AVI files are motion picture that can be played using standard media player software (such as Windows Media Player).

The signed files provide proof that the generated images have not been tampered with or altered in any way, and are therefore more likely to be admissible as evidence in legal proceedings.

To specify the format in which captured images will be sent, select the Advanced tab of the Alert Action that is being configured to deliver the signed pictures then select the desired format from the Picture Export Format drop box.
