Recycling

APC by Schneider Electric offers environmentally sound product take-back and recycling programs to our consumer and business customers. These programs satisfy specific regional rules, such as the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE), whilst promoting the reuse, recycling, or environmental disposal of end of life products.

RoHS-Restricted Substances

EU DIRECTIVE EC/65/EU OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2) requires APC by Schneider Electric to provide products that conform to the RoHS substance restrictions, mark the subject product intended for the European market with a CE mark and demonstrate compliance via a Declaration of Conformity letter.

REACH-Substances of Very High Concern

Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) requires APC to evaluate its products to determine the presence of certain Substances of Very High Concern and make disclosures to customers when these substances appear.

Conflict Minerals

In July 2010, the United States passed the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform & Consumer Protection Act, section 1502(b) requiring all US public companies and their suppliers to disclose the chain of custody usage of conflict minerals. APC by Schneider Electric is not directly subject to this rule, but provides products to companies who are. APC is committed to avoiding the use of Conflict Minerals and providing our customers with the information they need to meet their obligations pursuant to this rule.
