Product Line

- AP5610
- AP5615
- AP5616
Environment
- All firmware versions
- All serial numbers
Cause
Firewall ports must be open in order for the KVM viewer to function properly.
Resolution
The Video Session Viewer on the AP56XX line of APC's KVM switches communicates with the KVM over TCP ports 8192 and 2068. Digitized video data is sent over port 8192. Encrypted keyboard and mouse data is sent over port 2068. The Management Panel (MP) communicates with the KVM switch over TCP/UDP port 3211. All data on ports 2068 and 3211 is encrypted using the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. The KVM switch retains the database of user accounts and permissions. The Viewer performs user authentication over encrypted port 2068. The MP performs user authentication over encrypted port 3211.
