PowerChute Business Edition not discovering Smart-UPS when using 940-0272A cable

Issue,
PowerChute Business Edition does not discover the Smart-UPS after connecting to Windows OS using the 940-0272A cable.

All supported Windows OS

Cause:
To use the 940-0272A cable with PowerChute Business Edition, the Prolific USB to Serial driver must be installed before installing PowerChute.

Solution:
Download the latest Prolific PL2303 driver from http://www.prolific.com.tw/US/ShowProduct.aspx?p_id=225&pcid=41

For Windows Server Core/Hyper-V
the Prolific USB/Serial driver must be downloaded from Windows Update Catalog onto the Windows Server Core/Hyper-V Server. The cab file must be extracted to local drive and pnputil -i -a ser2pl.inf must be run to install the driver. Windows systems with GUI need to have the Add New Device wizard check Window Update for the driver. Once the driver is installed, reboot the server to register the COM port in the OS.
