Why is StruxureWare Data Center Operation is not pulling live data from StruxureWare Data Center Expert?

Cause:
StruxureWare Data Center Operation uses web services to gather real-time data from a device being monitored by StruxureWare Data Center Expert. For this process to work correctly, Data Center Expert must display the sensor type correctly to allow Operation auto-sensor association to pull the correct information. The article explains what sensor type Data Center Operation requires and how to correct this issue.

Resolution:

StruxureWare Data Center Operation is looking for data sensor type of

OUTPUT_POWER_TOTAL_WATTS
OUTPUT_POWER_WATTS

If the sensor type is not defined as the above sensor type, Operation will not pull any power data from Data Center Expert. Data Center Expert relies on a Device Definition File(DDF) to define sensor types. By examining the DDF that is installed in Data Center Expert we can determine if the issue is related to a sensor type being defined correctly or incorrectly.
