PowerChute Personal Edition 3.1 Check for updates not working

Cause:
The incorrect response was returned.

Solution:
PowerChute Serial Shutdown has been released to replace PowerChute Personal Edition. Below is a link to the download page. We recommend users uninstall PowerChute Personal Edition and install PowerChute Serial Shutdown.

NOTE:
PowerChute Personal Editon will be discontinued on Apr 29, 2024, and end-of-support is Jun 5, 2024.

With a Back-UPS PowerChute, Serial Shutdown will communicate via USB (Universal Serial Bus).

The most up-to-date version of PowerChute Personal Edition is 3.1. If you are currently running PowerChute Personal Edition 3.1, uninstall PowerChute PowerChute Personal Edition and install PowerChute Serial Shutdown, or disregard the message.
