Why is the Protection Working LED of an APC SurgeArrest, or SurgeProtector off?

Cause:
Reasons the green-colored Working Protection LED of the APC SurgeArrest may not
illuminate:
1. The unit is powered off (for 7 outlet SurgeArrest strips only).
2. The LED is defective.
3. The unit sustained a large power transient and basically died.
4. The unit was heavily overloaded and an internal fuse was tripped.
Resolution:
If one of the items numbered 2 through 4 is the reason, APC will replace the SurgeArrest under its lifetime warranty. First, check that the SurgeArrest unit's circuit breaker is not tripped. Then check that the SurgeArrest unit is plugged into a good, properly functioning power receptacle outlet.
