Data Center Expert | How do I update incorrect UPS battery ages?
Issue:
Battery Age for UPS shows incorrectly in StruxureWare Data Center Expert.

Product Line:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)
- Basic Appliance (AP9465)
- Standard Appliance (AP9470)
- Enterprise Appliance (AP9475)
- Virtual Appliance (AP94VMACT)

Environment:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (All Versions)
APC UPS

Cause:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert polls the battery age from each UPSs Network Management Card (NMC) via SNMP.

Resolution:

Note: Ensure that the date and time are correct on the Network Management Card (NMC) of the UPS and within StruxureWare DCE to be able to accurately display the battery age.
Note: The Battery Age report within StruxureWare DCE may report unknown values if the battery age is not set correctly.

Updating the Last Battery Replacement Date on NMC Firmware version 6.X and newer

1) Log into the UPSs web interface.

2) Status Menu > Battery System  OR Configuration Menu > UPS. Options may differ depending on firmware version.

3) Click on the applicable battery pack.

4) Set the Installation Date.

5) Apply the changes.


Updating the Last Battery Replacement date on NMC Firmware Version 5.X and lower

1) Log into the UPSs web interface.

2) UPS Tab > Configuration Section > general.

3) Set the Last Battery Replacement date.

4) Apply the changes.
