Data Center Expert | Help Center account creation and product association

Issue:
Process for associating a StruxureWare Data Center Expert Appliance to the Help Center

Product Line:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)
- Basic Appliance (AP9465)
- Standard Appliance (AP9470)
- Enterprise Appliance (AP9475)
- Virtual Appliance (AP94VMACT)

Environment:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (all versions)

Resolution:

Follow the steps below for association your StruxureWare Data Center Expert appliance to the StruxureWare Help Center.  If you experience issues with the Online Product Association method, proceed to the steps listed for Offline Product Association.
 
Online Association (Internet connection required from computer Desktop Client is installed on)

1) Log into your Data Center Expert (DCE) desktop client.

2) Navigate to the help menu and select DCIM Support Community or EcoStruxure IT Help Center.
NOTE: If your version of DCE does not have a link within the Help menu for DCIM Support Community or EcoStruxure IT Help Center, proceed to Offline Product Association listed below.
NOTE: If when you navigate to this link it does not load the StruxureWare Help Center site, proceed to the Offline Product Association section.

3) Log into your existing account or create a new account.
NOTE: This account is not tied to any other Schneider Electric or APC accounts, which includes the DCIM Assets licensing portal.

4) Select your profile image in the upper-right and then select My Products and your DCE appliance should be displayed.

5) After any upgrades, you will need to perform steps 1-4 again to update your product version listed in the help center on your My Products page.
 
Offline Product Association (Alternative to online association listed above for use when internet access is not accessible from desktop client computer)

NOTE: Please attempt an online association of your DCE appliance using the method listed above before performing an Offline Association.

1) Navigate to the StruxureWare Help Center site at https://sxwhelpcenter.ecostruxureit.com.

2) Log into an existing account or create a new account.
NOTE: This account is not tied to any other Schneider Electric or APC accounts, which includes the DCIM Assets licensing portal.

3) Select your profile icon in the upper-right and select My Products.

4) Complete any requirements to be able to associate your product:
- Email verification
- Country selection

5) Select the Associate offline product button.

6) Select your product from the list and fill in the required information.

7) Click on Submit and the request for the association is sent to site administrators for approval.  Once approved, the product will display within your My Products list.
NOTE: If you are unable to click on the Request Offline Association button, please verify that the data within the fields is entered correctly.

8) After any upgrades, you will need to manually update your product version listed within your My Products page.  Click on the version number and it will prompt you to enter the new product version.  The version should be entered in format X.X.X.
