Issue:
When launching PowerChute Personal Edition you see the error "apcrun.exe is not a valid Win32 application" and PowerChute will not run

Cause:
Corruption in the system files
Solution:
1 - Open command prompt as an administrator and enter the command sfc /scannow You will find information or the utility sfc scannow in Microsoft help document

Once the scan has completed reboot the system
2 - If system scan does not resolve the issue, uninstall PowerChute, re-download the application from apc.com, reinstall.
