Environment:
Windows Vista, 7, 8, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2019, Hyper-V
Cause:
Starting with the release of Windows Vista Microsoft removed the messaging service from their OS. PowerChute relied on this messaging service.
Solution:
1 - A third party messaging service can be scripted to send messages.
