Issue:
How to set and select sensitivity for BE500G3, BE700G3, BE900G3 and BE1050G3?
Product Line:
Back-UPS
Environment:
All Serial Numbers
Cause:
There are times that the sensitivity settings need to be changed due to the actual condition of the main source/utility in order to keep the UPS operation smooth and normal.
Resolution/Procedure:
Voltage Sensitivity Adjustment
The Back-UPS detects and reacts to the line voltage distortions by transferring to battery backup power to help protect connected equipment. In situations where either the Back-UPS or the connected equipment is too sensitive for the input voltage level it is necessary to adjust the transfer voltage.
1.Turn off the UPS connected to a wall outlet.
2.Press and hold the POWER button for 10 seconds. The POWER button will illuminate green and red alternately to indicate that the Back-UPS is in Program mode.
3.The POWER button will flash either Green, Amber and Red to indicate the current sensitivity level. Refer to the table for an explanation of the transfer voltage sensitivity levels.
4.To exit Program mode, wait 5 seconds and all LED indicators will extinguish. Program mode is no longer active.
Do refer to the table below:
NOTE: UPS model, BE1050G3 and BE900G3 can also change the sensitivity settings using PCSS (PowerChute Serial Shutdwon) software.
See simple procedures below:
Step 1: Proceed to "Product Description" then select "UPS Settings" then click.
Step 2: From the Sensitivity section, you have 3 options "High, Medium and Low".
Select your preferred sensitivity settings.
Step 3: After choosing the preferred settings, don't forget to press or click "Apply" to execute.
