Solution:
PowerChute Serial Shutdown v1.2 and above supports Back-UPS users instantly accessing the Web UI via the quick access icon without a username and password combination. This feature benefits users who do not require authenticated or remote access to the Web UI. To enable the quick access feature, deselect "Create a user account". This will allow only a local user to access the PowerChute web interface and no credentials will be required.
NOTE: This feature is only available when connected to a Back-UPS.
Once the installation has completed there will be a PowerChute icon on the desktop and an icon in the Systray.
NOTE: It is recommended that a PowerChute user account be created when the system is on a company or public network.
Existing PowerChute v1.0 users can also remove the username and password requirement by updating to the latest version.
