How to hardwire an SBP16KP or SRYLSBP20KP to a Smart-UPS Online SRT5K-10K or SURT8K-20K
Issue:
The customer is asking how to properly wire an SBP16KP or SRYLSBP20KP to a Smart-UPS Online SRT5K-10K or SURT8K-20K
Product Line:
SBP16KP, SRYLSBP20KP, Smart-UPS Online SRT5K-10K or SURT8K-20K
Environment:
All Serial Numbers
Cause:
An SBP16KP has a 5-wire connection (3Ph + N + G) and an SRYLSBP20KP has a 4-wire (2Ph + N + G), while the UPS only has a 3-wire (2Ph + G) which causes confusion.
Solution:
You can still use the SBP16KP or SRYLSBP20KP and just utilize the 2Ph + G. Please see a sample diagram below.
NOTE: A Step-down transformer (ex. SRT10KRMTF) will be needed if a 120V output is required as the UPS has an unbalanced output. Otherwise, the SBP/SBU's output can be wired directly to the distribution panel. Please refer to FAQ000265357 on how to wire the transformer.
