InfraStruXure Central does not read some sensor names if changes are made after initial discovery.

Issue:

InfraStruXure Central does not read some sensor names if changes are made after initial discovery.

Product Line:

InfraStruXure Central

Environment:

InfraStruXure Central potentially any version

Cause:

configuration/compatibility

Resolution:

If the name of a user input contact, output relay, or temperature/humidity sensor is changed after initial discovery of the APC device, ISXC will not be able to propagate the sensor name change properly. Since the "sensor name" is part of the sensor label, the sensor name will be propagated to all other ISXC Server views that can present this sensor (Map View, Table View, Alert View, and Graph/Report View).

If this scenario occurs, you must delete and re-add the APC device. The APC device can be deleted and re-added through a right click in the Group or Device Panes or through the Device Scanners application in the Mass Configuration View. If the old "sensor name" was propagated as a sensor in any of the configurable ISXC Server views, you must manually delete them from the views and re-add the new sensor after re-adding the APC device.
