APC "Best in Class" Longest Runtime Guarantee
To be eligible for the APC Best in Class, Longest Runtime Guarantee the runtime comparison must be between units of identical VA ratings, identical waveform, and cannot compare "extended run" models to non-extended run models. Test conditions must be identical, the equipment connected to each UPS unit must be identical, and both UPS units must have a fully charged battery. APC must validate all claims and the APC unit must be returned to APC before a refund is issued. Valid for APC Back-UPS, Back-UPS Office and Back-UPS Pro purchased on or after December 1, 1997. Claim Validation Process:
Submit the original purchase receipt for both the APC unit and the competitor product. Include a detailed list of your connected equipment, including all peripherals. You must include all model numbers, CPU wattage, processor speed, monitor wattage and any other information regarding the performance of the connected equipment. Include the runtimes for both UPS units and a statement that the comparison was made under like conditions with like equipment connected. Note: Equipment with power on during one test, must have power on during the other tests.

APC will then:
a) Analyze the claim and either send an ARS shipping tag so you can return the APC unit, or b) End an explanation of why the claim was refused.

Once the APC unit is returned (unit must be in full working order), APC will refund the original purchase price of the APC UPS (as noted on the original sales receipt.
