ADC KRONE and APC Partner to Deliver Fibre-focused, Integrated Solutions for Data Centres

Companies to Offer Seminar Series on Data Centre Optimisation Throughout May

Sydney, Australia, 7 May, 2009 ADC KRONE, a leading manufacturer of next-generation network infrastructures, and APC, the global leader in integrated critical power and cooling services, today announced that they are f orming a strategic partnership that will deliver integrated solutions around fibre optic switches and storage area network devices to the data centre market.

The partnership will combine APC's expertise in complete physical infrastructure management and ADC KRONE's expertise in physical layer connectivity and fibre cable management to deliver differentiated and innovative solutions to data centre customers.

"The teaming of ADC KRONE and APC will ultimately allow end users, consultants and designers to select turn-key infrastructure solutions for data centre applications, regardless of the active electronics selected," said Glen Johnston, Senior Product Manager for ADC KRONE.

"With APC's extensive portfolio of racks, power, cooling, software, environmental monitoring and service capabilities and ADC KRONE's globally recognised network infrastructure equipment, we can now provide customers with a complete solution that addresses the growing use of fibre in the data centre," said Gordon Makryllos, Vice President, Pacific and Country General Manager for APC.

A combined portfolio from both companies will be designed to supply all infrastructure needs after a customer selects its active equipment, providing an end-to-end fibre infrastructure solution from power distribution through to physical layer connectivity.

As a result of this partnership, APC and ADC KRONE are offering a seminar series in several cities during the month of May.  The first seminar will be held in Sydney on the 13th May, followed by Melbourne on the 21st May, Brisbane on the 26th May and Auckland (New Zealand) on the 19th May. At these seminars, customers can learn how to best optimise their data centre for cost savings and energy efficiency.
