Randy Amon is Senior Vice President of Customer Care, Quality and Process at APC by Schneider Electric. In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and formed the Critical Power and Cooling Services (CPCS) Business Unit, which includes the APC and MGE UPS Systems brands. In 2008 APC by Schneider Electric reported revenue of €2.6 billion (including APC-MGE sales of $3.7 billion) and employed 12,000 people worldwide. Schneider Electric, with 114,000 employees and operations in 100 countries, achieved sales of €18.3 billion in 2008.

Randy was appointed SVP of Customer Care, Quality and Process in April 2009. In this role he is responsible for the execution of our core processes; including, Issue to Prevention, Customer Projects, and Customer Support, driving the global quality network, and consistently improving customer satisfaction.

Randy brings to his position over 28 years of leadership in customer advocacy. He joined APC in 2000 as a Global Customer Advocate and later went on to become the General Manager of Worldwide CTO Operations where he led the successful turnaround of global Project Execution performance. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Customer Care, Projects and Quality for North America. In this role, Randy was responsible for Call Center Activity, Order Management, Quality, Process and Customer Project Management, and played a key role in the successful integration of MGE and APC.

Prior to joining APC, Randy was the Chief Executive Officer of ABL Electronics, a fast growing, cable and switch manufacturing business based in Hunt Valley, MD which he founded in 1981. During a period of high growth for the company, Randy elected to serve as Customer Service Manager and Chairman of the Board to put his focus on enhancing the customer experience. APC acquired ABL Electronics in 2000.

Randy attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland and has participated in several leadership programs including Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s “Birthing of Giants” Entrepreneurial Executive Leadership Program, and the Center for Creative Leadership’s “Leadership at the Peak” and “Coaching for Development” Programs. Randy was the Founding President of the Baltimore Chapter Young Entrepreneurs Organization. As CEO of ABL Electronics Randy was named Maryland Entrepreneur of the Year, and led the company to a two time appearance on Inc. 500’s list of Fastest Growing Companies in the US.

Randy is married with three children and enjoys backpacking with his family and whitewater rafting. Randy has a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience and believes that customer retention and customer loyalty are the key to a successful business.
