AP9625 - Smart-UPS & Symmetra 2-Post Rack Mounting Kit.

 

 

Overview:

The AP9625 was created in order to provide a means to mount certain Smart-UPS models, all Symmetra RM models and the 208/120V step-down transformers in standard 2-post racks. 2-Post racks are common in wiring closets and the need to provide back-up power in these environments has increased with the application of VoIP (voice over internet protocol). This kit replaces the older SYOPT6, SYOPT7 and SYOPT8 kits.

Smart-UPS

All SMT and SMX rackmount models, SUA2200RM2U, SUA3000RM2U, SUA3000RMT2U, SUA2200RMi2U, SUA3000RMi2U, SU5000RMT5U, SU5000RMi5U, SU5000R5TBX120

Note that the 2200/3000VA models, and all SMT/SMX models also have a set back ear position (approx 5 inches from front) that may be used to mount in a 2-post rack. However due to the weight of these units, the AP9625 kit is recommended.

Smart-UPS XL

SU2200RMXL3U, SU3000RMXL3U, SU2200RMXLi3U, SU3000RMXLi3U, SU5000RMXLT5U, SU5000RMXLi5U, SU48R3XLBP

All of these models require the AP9625 for mounting in a 2-post rack. Note the 2200/3000VA Smart-UPS 5U's provide an optimized form factor for 2-post mounting and do not require the AP9625 kit.

Smart-UPS RT

SURTA1000XL, SURTA1500XL, SURTA2000XL, SURTA2200XL, SURT3000XLi, SURT5000XLi, SURT3000XLT, SURT5000XLT, SURT192XLBP

These models require the AP9625 for mounting in a 2-post rack. Rack mount ears are included in AP9625 for the 3U SURT models.

Symmetra

SYH2K6RMT-, SYH4K6RMT-, SY6K6RMT-, SY8K12RMT-, SY12K12RMT-, SYH2K6RMi, SYH4K6RMi, SY6K6RMi, SY8K12RMi, SY12K12RMi

Note that one AP9625 kit is needed for each UPS and transformer.

Step-down Transformers

AP9621, SUTF2, SUTF3, SYTF2, SYTF3, SURT005

Compatible with all 2U step-down transformers.

Note that Smart-UPS 750-1500 2U rack mounts do not require the AP9625 to be mounted in a 2-post rack. Also the 2200/3000 5U Smart-UPS units provide a form factor that is optimized for 2-post rack installations and consequently do not require any additional mounting hardware. Customers that desire to “flush mount” a Smart-UPS unit with the front of the 2-post rack should consider the AR8422 fixed shelf for support.
