 Residential Hardwire Surge Suppression
APC’s Residential Surge Suppressors are the first line of defense against damaging electrical surges and spikes that originate outside your home. They are installed by an electrician at your circuit breaker panel and safely reduce the severity of power transients caused by utility accidents, power outages and lightning. Always use APC line cord surge suppressors in conjunction with Whole House Surge Suppressors for maximum protection of your computers, audio/video components and other electronic devices.

Protection
Maximum surge current ratings 120kA and 160kA per phase maximum surge current ratings provide protection from the largest surges and spikes. Units with larger surge current ratings are also available upon request.
NEMA 4X enclosure Meets the requirements of a NEMA 4X enclosure for indoor and outdoor applications.
Noise Filtering SurgeArrest attenuates EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data errors and keyboard lockups.
 
Serviceability
Replaceable surge protection modules Units are equipped with field replaceable surge suppression modules for quick corrective maintenance and less downtime.
Manual disconnect switch This integral disconnect switch provides a convenient way to isolate the TVSS unit from your power, and minimizes installation time. (Optional).
 
Safety
Catastrophic Event Protection SurgeArrest Panelmount SPDs are equipped with fuses and thermal disconnects that react quickly to protect against dangerous high and low current wiring faults as well as other catastrophic surge events. These panelmount SPDs are passive, and continue to allow power through to your home or building if any of the surge components are damaged.
 
Convenience
Status Indicator LED's LED status indicators for each phase and an audible alarm provide immediate failure notification when suppression circuitry has been damaged by a heavy strike or surge.
