Upgrade Aborted when attempting to upgrade NetBotz Advanced View on Windows

Issue:

Upgrade Aborted when attempting to upgrade NetBotz Advanced View on Windows  8, 8.1, or 10

Product Line:

NetBotz Advanced View

Environment:

Potentially any version of Advanced View
Windows, potentially any supported version

Cause:

During the upgrade of NetBotz Advanced View when run from an existing version of Advanced view, the install may fail with the error "Unable to unpack the Advanced View installer;upgrade aborted".

Resolution:

In order to avoid this error, launch Advanced View with administrative rights. You can either right click the application exe or shortcut and select "Run as Administrator" or you can right click and choose properties, compatibility, and choose run as administrator. You can also manually download the installer and run it outside of the current Advanced View application but yo may want to run that as Administrator as well.
