Why does Data Center Expert show incorrect UPS battery dates?

Issue:
Battery Age for UPS shows incorrectly in StruxureWare Data Center Expert.

Product Line:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)

Environment:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert (DCE)
APC UPS

Cause:
StruxureWare DCE pulls the battery age from each UPSs Network Management Card (NMC).

Resolution:

NOTE: Ensure that the date and time are correct on the Network Management Card (NMC) of the UPS and within StruxureWare DCE to be able to accurately display the battery age.
NOTE: The Battery Age report within StruxureWare DCE may report unknown values if the battery age is not set correctly.

Updating the Last Battery Replacement Date on NMC Firmware version 6.X and newer

1) Log into the UPSs web interface.

2) Configuration Menu > UPS.

3) Set the Last Battery Replacement date.

4) Apply the changes.


Updating the Last Battery Replacement date on NMC Firmware Version 5.X and lower

1) Log into the UPSs web interface.

2) UPS Tab > Configuration Section > general.

3) Set the Last Battery Replacement date.

4) Apply the changes.
