Solution:

Hibernation saves everything in memory to disk, turns off your monitor and hard disk, and shuts down your computer.

The Hibernation feature of PowerChute does not work with all PC's and therefore it must be configured manually in some cases.

The steps mentioned below will guide you on how to enable the hibernation option on a Windows XP system with PowerChute Personal Edition installed.

1. Open the PowerChute Personal Edition application.

2. Click on the Runtime option under the Configuration menu.

3. Click on Enable Hibernation (This will be available when Hibernation is not enabled.)



4. Click on the Enable Hibernation button to enable the feature.
