Dave Johnson is Senior Vice President, Home and Business Networks at APC. In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and formed the Critical Power and Cooling Services (CPCS) Business Unit, which includes the APC and MGE UPS Systems brands. The CPCS Business Unit reported revenue of $3.5 billion in 2007 and employs 12,000 people worldwide. Schneider Electric, with 112,000 employees and operations in 190 countries, had 2007 annual sales of $25 billion (17.3 billion). Appointed to his position in December 2007, Dave is responsible for CPCS’ largest line of business with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion. The Home and Business Networks team drives product development and go-to-market strategies for the industry’s premiere single-phase server, networking, and desktop Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) lines, plus a comprehensive offering of complementary solutions including APC’s SurgeArrest® surge suppressors. From February 2007 to December 2007, Dave served as Chief Sales Officer for APC. Prior to this position, Dave was vice president, worldwide sales and marketing at APC. Appointed to this position in August 2006, Dave led regional and global teams responsible for sales and marketing delivery. Prior to his position as vice president, sales and marketing, he served as vice president, Americas leading the sales, marketing and service delivery of APC solutions in North and Latin America. In this position, he was responsible for revenue in excess of $1 billion annually. Prior to assuming this position in March 2006, Dave served as general manager, APC Rack Systems where he was integrally involved in developing and driving product marketing and sales for APC’s award-winning InfraStruXure® architecture. In late 1999, Dave left APC for several years to participate in two start-up companies. He rejoined APC in 2003 to lead the Rack Systems division, one of APC’s fastest growing and largest product areas. Dave joined APC in 1989 as the company's first product manager. He began his career with GE Plastics in 1986 as a corporate financial analyst. Dave has a BS in Economics from Cornell University. Dave and his wife Ann are married with three children. During their time off, Dave and his family enjoy sailing, skiing, and family vacations together. Dave believes that utilizing common sense, open communications, direct feedback, courageous decision making, and respect for people at all levels are keys to winning teams.
