Ask a Question

When finger-style vertical cable managers are used is it possible to also block off the openings in the mounting rails?

Issue:
A customer using the finger-style vertical cable managers inside a NetShelter cabinet wants to know how to block hot air from recirculating through the rails.

Product Line:
NetShelter SX

Environment:
All versions and serial ranges.

Cause:
There are holes in the finger-style vertical cable managers to allow cables to run from front to rear inside the cabinet. If left open hot air can recirculate through these holes.

Resolution:
When there are finger style cable managers installed inside the cabinet, AR7714 can be used as a pass-thru airflow management accessory. The AR7714 installs onto the finger style vertical cable manager.

Without the finger-style vertical cable managers in place, AR7706 can be used in the wide NetShelter cabinets. It's a brush strip style airflow management product that allows cables to pass through. It installs onto the vertical mounting rail.
