APC by Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, has been recognised for pioneering energy and eco-efficiency across IT solutions, winning the annual ARN ICT Sustainability Award last Thursday.
APC by Schneider Electric was voted the winner by a panel of 60 judges, who recognised the work done by the organisation in innovation and sustainability. The award win highlights the Company’s forward-thinking IT policy that is based on three pillars: solving the energy dilemma, an exemplary approach to servicing stakeholders, and providing access to energy to those who need it most.

Initiatives such as the Trade-UPS program, third party recycling programs, the educational Energy University training program, and StruxureWare for data centres solution also contributed to the award win.
The recognition of Sustainability Vendor of the year also reinforces the recent naming by Forbes Magazine that Schneider Electric is ranked in Top 25 Companies that Change the world.
“We have a number of programs that drive efficiency for businesses but we have also implemented extensive efficiency programs to reduce carbon emissions in our own facilities,” said Muralee Kanagaratnam, General Manager for Channel and Alliances, Pacific, APC by Schneider Electric said.
“Our main office in Sydney continues to have a low carbon footprint and has been awarded a 5 star Green Star Office Design v2, while our Gepps Cross Manufacturing Plant has achieved the ISO 50001 Energy Management certification.”
APC by Schneider Electric was also a finalist in the Specialist Vendor of the Year category.
