What do the LED's on my Network Management Card mean?
Issue
The status and link LED's (found on the left and ride side of the ethernet port) on a Network Management Card give information on the current status of the NMC
Devices with an embedded Network Management Card 1 include (but are not limited to): Metered/Switched Rack PDUs (AP78XX, AP79XX), Rack Automatic Transfer Switches (AP77XX, Environmental Monitoring Units (AP9320, AP9340, Netbotz 200)
Devices with an embedded Network Management Card 2 include (but are not limited to): 2G Metered/Switched Rack PDUs (AP84XX, AP86XX, AP88XX, AP89XX), Certain Audio/Video Network Management Enabled products.
Environment
All firmware versions (unless otherwise noted)
All serial numbers
The status LED's (right side facing) can show the following:
Off - The card is not receiving power or is in a boot up state
Solid Green - The card has valid IP settings
Solid Orange - The card has a fault
Flashing Green - The card does not have valid IP settings
Flashing Orange - The card is making BootP requests
Alternating Green/Orange
Rapidly - The card is booting up
Slowly - The card is making a DHCP request
The Link LED's (left side facing) can show the following
Off - The card is not receiving power, does not have a connected network cable or the device (switch/hub) connected to the card is not active
Solid Green - The card is on a network that communicates at 10mbps
Solid Orange - The card is on a network that communicates at 100mbps
Flashing Green - The card is receiving data packets at 10mbps
Flashing Orange - The card is receiving data packets at 100mbps
